It is a legal requirement that if you employ one or more people, that you must have Employers Liability Insurance in place. This includes full or part time staff, voluntary employees and contractors or sub-contractors.
Employers Liability
If an employee has an accident or becomes ill because of their work they could sue the company for compensation under Employers Liability Insurance.
In the majority of cases if you employee people and do not have Employers Liability for at least £5 million you could be prosecuted or fined.
